In the latest team selection by Newcastle United manager, Lloyd Kelly was chosen over Lewis Hall as the starting left-back. Kelly, who has now started in three out of the five league matches played so far, seems to have convinced the gaffer with his performances on the pitch.
The Magpies, who had an unbeaten start to the season, faced their first defeat last weekend against Fulham. This loss brought an end to their winning streak, but unlike other teams, including CIty, Newcastle had the advantage of a week’s rest between matches.
Despite the loss, Newcastle have managed to secure ten points from their five matches, which can be considered a stroke of luck. In games against Southampton and Tottenham, they were not the better side, but managed to come out with all three points on both occasions.
Looking ahead, it will be interesting to see how the team bounces back from their loss and if Kelly can continue his good form in the upcoming fixtures.
At the moment, all eyes are on young talent Anthony Gordon who is expected to make a big impact for the team in the coming matches. Stay tuned for more updates on Newcastle United’s progress throughout the season.
