Palmeiras wonderkid Vitor Reis is keeping his focus on his current club amid transfer speculation, with the talented 18-year-old center-back attracting interest from top clubs like Real Madrid.
“I try to think day by day, I am still very young and have only just begun my professional career. I want to win titles with Palmeiras and establish myself,” Reis told AS, emphasizing his commitment to his Brazilian club.
While many clubs are vying for his signature, Reis remains fixated on achieving success with Palmeiras. When discussing his aspirations for the future, the youngster expressed his dream of representing Brazil at the senior level.
“I think every player dreams of playing for the Brazilian national team and it’s no different for me. I know I’m still young, but I’ve already had several opportunities in the youth categories and naturally I hope to have them in the first team,” he said.
Reis acknowledged the importance of honing all aspects of his game to reach the pinnacle of world football: “I think we should always work to improve in all aspects. With time and experience, it is natural that we can evolve.”
Despite having made a name for himself at Palmeiras with 14 first-team appearances and two goals, the talented defender’s future remains uncertain. With Real Madrid in need of a new center-back, the possibility of Reis making a move to Bernabeu in 2025 looms large.
The Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly interested in Reis, with Barcelona also in the mix to challenge Real Madrid for his services. As the saga unfolds, the football world eagerly awaits to see where the promising young talent will land.
