In a recent transfer move, Oxford United announced the signing of the Poland international Przemyslaw Placheta, making him their eighth acquisition of the summer. The 26-year-old winger has joined the U’s as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Swansea City last month. Placheta had previously made a move to England when he joined Norwich City for a reported fee of £2.5 million in July 2020.
Expressing his confidence in his abilities, Placheta stated, “I know I can be a good player in the Championship. My strengths are my dribbling, speed and directness and I know what the gaffer expects from his wingers. I want to add goals and assists to this team and I will do everything for the club to have a successful season.”
In an interview with the club’s official website, Placheta shared his enthusiasm about the new challenge, saying, “I’m delighted to be here and I’m really looking forward to the challenge.” With his determination and skillset, Oxford fans can expect to see an exciting addition to their squad as they aim for a successful season ahead.
